The happy musicians

The default ‘music’ shot in a school is with children playing their instruments and although this might make perfect sense it fails to convey the happiness in music. Mostly because the children are concentrating on their playing and looking quite serious.

So asking them to hold onto their instruments and then to ask one of their friends to do something to make them laugh is guaranteed to generate a smile, a laughter, an image of gloriously happy children.

It’s not about the music. It’s about what the music creates in the children.
