Children by the water
The directions you give to children in school marketing photography is often as important as the settings in camera (sometime more important).
- If children stand next to water they don’t engage with it.
- If you tell them to kneel you see the tops of their heads as they peer into the water.
- But tell them to crouch (important word) and do this with them as you tell them they’ll mirror your actions and do as you direct them.
In this position you see their faces as they look for fish in the pond. But the wonderful kicker here is the white paper on their clipboards that reflects some lovely clean light back onto their faces. Perfect!
